Anniversary

So we all have our little quirks and traditions. Christmas dinner has to have stuffing, wearing the orange shirt when the Hokies play the Wahoos, or getting to choose the menu for all the meals on your birthday.
Way back we decided that we would rotate planning anniversaries each year between the two of us. So last year Mandi got the 10th - big milestone (2nd blog, same theme?) = big plan & big budget. We were visiting Mandi's lil sis in Cincy, so we went out to the little town where I basically asked her to marry me, about 6 months before I actually asked her to marry me (I believe some call it courtship). Stayed at a B&B, romantic dinner, followed by Scrabble.
So this year, in the midst of preparing to cross an ocean for a couple of months, I get to plan. Budget is pretty small, time is short and we have no energy to waste. So we'll hang out downstairs working on a memory book from our 11 years. Probably have a pizza or some grilled cheese. Kids put themselves to bed. Just my type of plan.

  1. Way to go little brother! Happy Anniversary from the Gustavi! Can we take you all eat to dinner one of the nights you all are here before flying out? We have a VT jr that can babysit! He called today to catch up, misses our kids - he's their favorite VBS youth leader.

If you have time for "extra posts' you could go back and chronicle the beginning ie how you both came to the decision to adopt, why Zambia, etc. Baby Boy Lemmond may really appreciate reading for himself how much you all loved him before you knew him. Just a thought.

    love ya!
