Day 2 at the House of Moses

Our kids slept like logs last night, partly because of the long trip and partly because of how cozy and comfortable they felt compared to an airplane. We finally woke them up around 9 am, ate some cornflakes offered by Julie, and took a taxi to the House of Moses.

They have a nice grassy courtyard in front of the House of Moses. Zeke, Rayna, and Addie immediately began playing there while we visited with some adults. Zeke found a great tree to climb while Rayna and Addie played with Whisker the cat.

We checked in with Sandra about what we should be doing today and she reiterated "Identify a child". So we headed into the crawler room to play with them.

There are currently 5 boys available for adoption under the age of two. We were able to take 4 of them outside in the courtyard individually to play. The visual of our kids pulling them in a red wagon is priceless to me. We were unable to play with the 5th boy because he just got back from the hospital with measles and is too weak right now.

At the end of the day, we felt no particular leading to one child. We enjoyed our time with them all. Please pray that God will lead us to which one we should pursue for adoption.

It was then on to celebrate Zeke's birthday with pizza - the guy could not understand that we wanted "just cheese". It was good pizza though, and Zeke had his customary birthday soda. Then shopping at Shoprite...that will be Jamie's post.

  1. So glad to hear you made it safely; thanks for the updates and keeping me(Heather) in tears - we are praying for the Lord to direct you to the child He has chosen for your family since before time began; that you would be united as a family; and have much peace over the decision! Can't wait to see pictures! Much love from the Vestals!

    Lord,
Please bless their return flight. May it be more relaxed and peaceful than the previous. May rest and comfort find the kids and parents easily.

    AMEN.

    We (Bryants) love you all!
