So we are buying tickets to Zambia, which sets off the craziest week we've had in a while. Some tidbits...
Tuesday - Mandi tries to shop for the trip. Pretty weird looking list - diapers? Nope, don't know how old the kid is. Clothes? Nope, don't know for certain it will be a boy. We have the last swim meet for Zeke and Rayna tonight.
Wednesday - my 39th birthday. 2nd shopping trip. We haven't figured out what food we are going to try and take. Plus it's Zeke's chance to use some 8th birthday money he has gotten. Then we are at the local Chik-Fil-A from 5-8 for an adoption fundraiser.
Thursday- Zeke's birthday party. Dad's vs. kids in a capture the flag/water balloon battle.
Friday - packing day. How do you pack for at least a month in a 3rd world nation?
Saturday - Youth service work around our church neighborhood. The youth got pledges from church folks & family to do work, as a means of raising support for us. We are also using this an opportunity to build awareness in our church and community of our adoption. Then we clean the house
Sunday - leave for DC w/ a stop at Grandad's & Gaba's for hugs. Fly out Tuesday.
