So after Zeke's birthday pizza, we walked down a corridor at Manda Hill shopping center to the Shoprite. It was kind of a small Wal-Mart in that it had groceries and some merchandise as well. There were a few obvious differences in products - "biscuits" not crackers, "trolleys" not grocery carts, no sticks of butter (only tubs, 3/4ths of which were either margarine or spreads) eggs in 6, 7 or 10 counts and no Dr. Pepper (or Dr. Pepper knockoffs, sorry Ryan). American kids are just as crazy wanting things and running the "Trolley" into stuff in Zambian grocery stores as they are in American stores. They did have a wide variety of all types of goods. It was really hard to shop with a money conscious mind as their currency is used at a higher rate than ours. So when the price of a bag of clementines (6 very sweet & a good size) is 14,350K, well that takes some figurin'.
We went to Zambia to adopt a little boy. We took our 3 kids (8, 6 & 3.5). This is a small piece of our journey to bring one of God's beloved children into our family.

PS, will let Sam comment once he's sees the pic of Zeke climbing the "tree."
A few were in German (or "European" as Mandi called it. And they DID have spaghetti sauce, although we could not figure out hot to boil water for the noodles. Yes, you read that right.
